Guinea Pigs living wild in Cornwall

Five years ago several Guinea Pigs were ‘dumped’ in the wild near Bude in North Cornwall. Only one survived and was named Squeak by the local residents who would see him frequently going about his business in the local fields. They would put food out for Squeak and claimed he was a very friendly and sociable little creature.

Shortly before Christmas 2007 developers started preparing the land where Squeak lived for redevelopment, sadly the villagers did not have time to catch Squeak and rehome him before the land was flattened. Squeak has not been seen since and it is feared he may have run away or been killed.

If anyone has any news of Squeak please let us know. It would be nice to have a happy ending to this story.
